Teesdale Farmers' Market is a Gold award winning market held regularly in Barnard Castle and Middleton in Teesdale, SW Durham. Supported by Teesdale Marketing Limited it is part of the Local Food and Produce Initiative.

See the Barnard Castle farmers market 10am to 3pm on the first Saturday of every month and the Middleton in Teesdale farmers market 11am to 4pm on the last Sunday of each month from April to September. See full Dates and Venues details.

VegSoc Award for Barnard Castle farmers' market

Barnard Castle farmers' market has become the first in the UK to receive a prestigious award from the Vegetarian Society.

The monthly market has been named the best for veggies, beating off competition from farmers' markets across the country.

Rachel Markham, on behalf of the Vegetarian Society, presented the award at the December market and said "The judges were very impressed by the Barnard Castle market. Everything was so fresh, and the variety was brilliant - we were really struck by the local provenance of the produce and the extensive knowledge of the stall-holders."
